Business Development, Marketing and Promotions, Business Process Design
A Bearded Lady who is prepared to execute many glamorous jobs must be able to see a big picture for the big top. You will work with and around children, the disabled, corporations and at risk populations. You must be comfortable working and interacting with a diverse group of professionals whose expertise spans many industries. You have to understand how community health, entertainment and education, though separate enterprises, are part of a greater whole through the lens of circus.
Business Development
-Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments .
-Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
-Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners’ needs and goals.
-Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
-Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
-Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations.
-Building and maintaining networks with community health, medical, real estate, community and economic development, and arts and entertainment professionals.
-Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
-Prospecting and writing grant applications.
-Proposing use of grant funds.
-Writing rough drafts of comprehensive business plans.
Marketing and Promotions
-Negotiating contracts and discounts with media.
-Managing Social Media events promotions.
-Composing and editing email blasts to mailing list.
-Photographing events, curating photos, and posting photos to social media.
-Functioning as a Concept Broker and finding a common language between artists and businesspersons for the purpose of potential investment from businesspersons.
Business Process Design
-Separating workloads into specifically defines channels.
-Researching and suggesting legal structures for the different channels of the workload.
-Planning and designing projects for successor to implement.
Other
-Light physical labor including assembling rigging, performance apparatuses and maintaining and arranging stage setups
-Shuttling contracted performers to and from transportation stations
